He simply watches as both his daughters little chest rise and fall with each breath they take as they slumber quietly. It’d been a bit of a difficult day, what with both Freya and Nattie deciding to be as unruly as they possibly could — though he knew this would happen, expected it because after all no child was well behaved all the time. Lips quirking up at the corners, he just wished they could have done this while he wasn’t solo parenting. It was just always easier to combat their nearly two year twins having a bad day, when he had his husband at his side to help. Pushing up, he glanced once more to ensure the baby monitor was still on before quietly padding back out of the room, and heading to his own. He’s just let himself face plant into his still semi warm pillow, only taking a few seconds to shuffle around so it’s easier to breath, before letting his body go boneless. An arm snakes across his middle, gently maneuvering his body back, his back pressed against Thor’s chest, who’s legs curl up so their knees are tucked together. He’s so completely enveloped in a cocoon of warmth that he can’t help letting out a soft sigh of contentment. “I’m sorry I wasn’t here, love, to help you with them.”“No,” Bruce mumbles, moving his hand down to tangle his fingers with Thor’s, before bringing their hands up to press gentle kisses along the back of Thor’s. “You needed to go visit the Asgardian settlement, there’s no need to apologize for that.”He feels Thor’s beard brush against the back of his neck — causing Bruce to bite back the urge to whimper — before soft, gentle kisses are pressed against the skin there. “I know.
