King Richard (2021)This is a Movie Health Community evaluation. It is intended to inform people of potential health hazards in movies and does not reflect the quality of the film itself. The information presented here has not been reviewed by any medical professionals.King Richard has a very sudden moment, just over 20 minutes into the film, where an automatic weapon is fired at night, creating a severe strobe effect that lasts about half a second. Immediately following the disorienting rolling shot described below, there are a few shots with cameras flashing from all directions, in a few nonconsecutive shots in the following 20 seconds or so. There are less-frequent camera flashes in the final scene of the film, which takes place at night.Several scenes take place in moving vehicles. One shot looks directly downward and rolls sideways, which can be disorienting, lasting about 10 seconds. There is some handheld camera work, but most of it is either stationary or very smooth.Flashing Lights: 4/10. Motion Sickness: 2/10.TRIGGER WARNING: Harassment of a minor, antagonistic racial comments, real-life footage of a police beating. -- source link
