They do not require they hire for them.So they’re not even real jobs to start with. They’re phantom jobs. They know they’re not actually hiring anyone, but they have to do this pantomime pretending they are. When they’re actually just demanding more work at same pay from the remaining people.and then are surprised when they move on to businesses that actually DO need workers and realized they have to actually pay people.So there’s both a lot of phantom jobs AND a worker shortage, which makes it even stupider. But the sheer number of phantom jobs means that businesses that don’t want to actually pay a competative wage can point at the phantom jobs and boo-hoo over how no one if taking them and appeal to the government about it… the same government that set up the conditions to create the phantoms jobs.Anyway, it sucks for anyone coming into labor market because there are all these garbage fake jobs floating around that are just massive time wasters. if you’re doing online applications… don’t apply to shit that isn’t paying well above minimum wage. its probably a phantom. -- source link
