tazmynburt:For the anon who wanted some tips on hair, and for anyone who might be interested, here’s a little step-by-step of my hair painting process! This was actually pretty fun to make and helped me think critically about my process, so if you guys wanna see any other tutorials feel free to send me an ask!OP, It’s very nice hair, but using a totally white face claim/reference for a man of color and just painting him brown? Not good. In fact, it’s a form of white washing (I know many people will think that’s ridiculous, but removing a characters ethnic features IS WHITEWASHING. I saw this picture on my dash before and never said anything because I’m just tired of engaging with fandom, but seeing your white as hell model RIGHT THERE? No, just not OK. If you can’t find a man of color to use as a model, then you’re being both lazy AND perpetuating the casual racism/microaggressions so common to fandom. Zevran isn’t a white man with a tan. Artists, you really need to cut it out with the digital brown face, it’s offensive and YES is is racist. Please stop. -- source link
