mizgnomer: David Tennant shares a “funny story” from the set of Good Omensduring his panel at DragonCon (August 2019) Video Source: [ Peter Lashway’s video on YouTube ] Bonus:Transcript: It wasn’t very funny but I got bitten by the hellhound. Which is funny after the event. At the time it was just really painful. The hellhound, the actual little dog, was trained to attack Famine (spoilers). They’d worked the thing up with the stunt team and the guy playing Famine had all this stuff down his leg and all this padding. The little dog… it’s only a cute little thing, but they trained it so when he sort of growled at it and showed it his funny prosthetic teeth it kind of went mad and chewed on his leg. …and then a couple of days later, I had to, if you’ve seen the show, cast a spell to suspend time and send us into another dimension so that we can talk to the Antichrist. I’m sure you know. The usual. Which involved me sort of going, “Rrruuuhhhhaaaa!” At which point the hellhound obviously thought, “That’s my cue!” …and ran in, and I went, “Ruuuhhh… Aaaahhh!!!“ I lifted my leg and he was hanging off my leg (it was only about that size), and it’s teeth, in me like that. Ollie the dog. Little cretin.I mean it’s slightly funny after the event. It was quite painful. I had to have shots! You have to have shots if you get bitten by a dog. I didn’t know that. So that was the Ollie the Dog story, and then he wasn’t allowed on set after that. I said it’s fine, but he wasn’t allowed, because there was children around, you know. All the shots we were in after that, he was CGI'ed in. He was shot on a green screen in seclusion somewhere because he was genuinely dangerous. -- source link
