Because there’s a big demand for .45/.410 target competition derringers— The American Derringer Model 8.Made by American Derringer, famous for their traditional non-traditional derringer designs. The Model 8 is the only competition derringer that I know of. It has an elongated barrel for increased accuracy, ergonomic grips, and a small rail for mounting scopes.
