color-movement: Many of us spend our lives trying to figure out our purpose in life. We know that we were made for something and that we have a certain role to play in this world. We search in all the wrong places, when really the only place we can find our true purpose is in the Word of God. What, then, is our true purpose in life? To give honor and glory to God. “In everything that you do […] do it for the glory of God” (1 Corinthians 10:3). How can we know that what we are doing gives honor and glory to God? In Psalm 100:2–3, we’re told to worship God with gladness and “know that the Lord is God. It is He who made us, and we are His. We are his people, the sheep of his pasture.” Part of what it looks like to glorify God is to acknowledge God as our loving Creator and to praise and worship Him as such.
