I’ve got both premades for sale and am open for custom work. https://theillustratedpage.net/design/If you want to follow my art, you can check out my Instagram! https://www.instagram.com/illustratedpagebookdesign/My covers tend to fall into two categories in terms of process/inspiration – the ones that use a full body stock photo and the ones where I use a photo of a face and create the body myself using a 3D posing program called DAZ studios. “Wings of Destiny” (one of the covers that will be available 2/8/21) is one where I created the bodies in DAZ. I knew generally what I wanted, so I found some stock photos of faces and then created bodies to match them. DAZ gives me a way to essentially create my own stock photos. Think of it as like dressing up and posing digital dolls that are then “photographed.” Depending on complexity and costuming, this can be either fast or time consuming. With Wings of Destiny, it took me a while to get the wings to where they didn’t look awkward or overlap with other elements. Multiple figures, flowing cloth, and layered clothing all make it take longer for me to put something together in DAZ.Anyway, I then took the new image I had created to Photoshop where I brought in the faces and background, did more advanced lighting and coloring, added effects, etc. In general, I try to be genre focused with my premades, so ideas for things like backgrounds come from what’s common in that genre. For Wings of Destiny (angel & demon romance) I went with a sky and a gate, since gates commonly denote heaven and hell. -- source link
