leliaanaa:thevirdirthara:jolder:If you haven’t already seen, EA now have the most downvoted comment (almost half a million) in Reddit history due to this shitty response, making sure we don’t forget how horrible they are (link)I’m not kidding when I say shit like this has me faaar more worried about the future of DA and ME than anything around me:a or people leaving Bioware does.Seriously me:a already looks like they were testing out things for the multiplayer and Anthem more than they were concentrating on the game itself, and now every major EA game has shit like this… it’s pretty bad.AND to be clear, don’t bother devs over this, they can’t do anything about it, and don’t harass them or any individual. shit like this means its becoming more and more important that we as consumers get smart & vote with our money for the kind of games and industry practices that we want to encouragepublishers like EA & Bethesda care more about making money than they do about making good games. they’ll sell us DLC forever, remake the same game forever, micro-transact us to death if they can. and the thing is, as a business model, this is working. they’re making money. it’s working for them. & theyre not gonna change anything as long as this is workingso we’ve gotta make sure they cant make money by pulling this shit. im not saying boycott anyone but like. don’t support publishers with bad industry practices? don’t pre-order games. don’t play into micro-transactions, or remasters, or endless dlc. if you’re desperate to play a game made by a shitty publisher, get it second-handand the inverse is true, too. support games made by publishers with good practices. support people who make good games, who release complete games. support indie developers – buy their games, and talk about them. this generation is so good at spreading things through word of mouth, let’s use thatcause if we don’t start pushing back against these shitty shitty practices in a way that hurts the finances of the people making these decisions, theyre just not gonna stop -- source link
