We’re in the throws of summer. The heat is oppressive, the days long, the nights short. And amidst all of this we’re busy working. Perhaps not like this busy bee I saw, going from flower to flower, or a farmer, spending all day in a field, but busy in our own ways. And sometimes when we’re busy we don’t see–both what we’ve accomplished and what no longer serves us.Lughnasdha (Lammas) is rapidly coming upon us. It’s a season for celebrating what we’ve accomplished–reaping the rewards of them–and of letting go (or cutting down) that which no longer serves us to make way for things that will.Enjoy what’s left of summer–even the heat. Take a moment now to give thanks, to do those little magical things that perhaps have fallen by the wayside. Because soon the night will outweigh the day. The flowers will stop blooming and the bees will huddle back into their hives. Summer is ending soon. -- source link
