onthelightside: closer-each-day: staygoldenkids: Sorry but this needed to be rebloggable! Love you Sharee! Not everyone’s idea of a “treat” is the same as hers, though. Some people live in places where fast food restaurants are the only restaurants. Some people like McDonald’s salads. I’m tired of people blowing it out of proportion, like fast food is “poison” or fake food. It’s not in any company’s best interest to poison its customers. Basic logic tells us that. Also, have you seen those pictures that show how a McDonald’s burger and fries doesn’t decompose? Yeah, a scientific study showed that it’s because it loses moisture quickly. It’s nothing more sinister than that. No, I’m not a big fan of McDonald’s. I maybe eat there 3-4 times a year, always begrudgingly because I don’t think their food tastes very good. But I’m also not a big fan of making sweeping claims like this to make people feel bad about what’s available to them or what they genuinely like. Have your McDonald’s salad if that’s what makes you happy. Exactly, I don’t think it’s right to make people feel bad for eating what they like IN MODERATION. I love junk food and, the beauty is, if you’re eating well most of the time, your body will be able to handle the unhealthy food when you choose to eat it. McDonald’s is not healthy but it’s not poison either. Everything is bad in excess and I’ve never heard of anyone dying from eating a single meal from there… And to be honest, I find it pretty extreme comparing eating a salad with no chicken and half the dressing to “going to a whore house for a kiss” and then telling someone they should never eat it. It’s a salad. It’s really not a big deal, so why treat it that way? -- source link
