‘It sounds trite to say it, but children stand to inherit our future - their own future - and it’s so important that we look after them, because so many children don’t have the choices that we have as adults. So for Variety, and for the Children’s Aid Society, and for UNICEF - who I’ve done some work for - I believe very strongly in their work. I believe there are armies of people behind the scenes who do tireless work on behalf of children all over the world, so it’s nothing for me to turn up and introduce a screening for them.
