Noix St. Jacques, Marche des Capucins, Bordeaux, 2017.Had Noix St.Jacques as part of a (very expensive) dinner to celebrate Toussaintes (1 November) and three retirements of family members at Restaurant Jules Verne on the Tour Eiffel’s second level. The dish was fantastic! St. Jacques (Santiago) is my personal saint, though I am neither religious nor Catholic, and having a dish named in his honor in a city closely allied to his cult and the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela is a necessity.Pardon the erratic presence of diacritics in the French of my postings. The truly hideous interface of the Tumblr app for the iPad makes properly spelling any word not in English a true pain! If there were not a comfortable group on Tumblr, I would dump the app. -- source link
