Is your argument really going to be that the 1.8 million people who saw obama get inaugurated were all umeployed rich people? Because that is an impressive level of delusion. Cheeto in cheif has rock bottom approval ratings and lost the popular vote. Suck it up. Your grand cheese-puffiness is a loser.@fandomsandfeminism Hey friend, I’m here to tell you that 1.8 million people do not live in Washington, DC. The population as of 2014 was about 660,000. Maybe the people that support Trump would have to have a lot of money to take a flight or two to DC. The year has just started, and a lot of workers don’t have a lot of PTO saved up. We have families to take care of, and jobs we have to go to. Tell me, do you have a nine to five job? Do you know how hard it is to find a job as a young adult? Trying to maintain straight As, taking care of your family, working, trying to prepare for college, having a life you have to wake up every single day early in the morning for because you can’t afford to waste a minute? Moral of the story, check your facts before you try to make an argument.Hi friend. My job isn’t 9 to 5. It’s closer to a 7:15 to 5:30, because, you see, I’m a public school teacher. I understand the difficulties some people might face in going to an inauguration. But 1.8 million people went to see Obama in 2009. I was one of them. And the people who supported Obama have the same work and family and financial issues. (And remember, the economy was way worse in 2009 than it is today.)So what exactly is the High and might Cheese Puffs excuse for such terrible numbers? People refusing to go, is an example. I understand that others have political views that don’t line up with him, but he still the President of the USA. He is our president. In my opinion, I think it’s rude and disrespectful that people don’t watch the inauguration, but I don’t expect all of them to go to a parade. There have been boycotts everywhere that are ridicous; the electoral college felt that Mr. Trump was the best candidate for this country. It would be best to go to a historic event, instead of trying to boycott it. Nothing will happen, he will still be in office.I would also like to say thank you, for not being a prick and giving me a sarcastic/rude response. Very rarely can you have a decent discussion today.“Ha look! No one went to Cheese Wigs parade.” “Well maybe they just couldn’t!” “But, they could?” “Well maybe they didn’t want to.” Yes. That’s the point. That’s why it’s so funny. No one is obligated to go watch the inauguration of a man they think is horrific. So they didn’t. Cheeto Puff McGrabyHands lost the popular vote by millions, and the electoral college is an outdated, archaic system that, in my opinion, has officially failed in the one thing it was actually meant to do (as a stop gap from keeping an unqualified demagogue from office) I hope that us not watching the inauguration was rude. I dont think Trump, Pence, or any of his bottom feeding 1% Cabinet cronies has done a damn thing to earn politeness from any of us. And we sure as hell dont owe it to his ego to show up at his inauguration, when his entire speech, platform, and policy list is aimed at hurting us.I feel that this is lining up with posts I’ve seen that wish him the worst. We have this man in office for four years, wouldn’t you want him to at least do the best he can?NO.Because what HE thinks is “the best he can” will be absolutely devastating for me and people like me and my friends and my family. My best friend who has Crohn’s disease, who if they get rid of the ACA protections for pre-existing conditions will run into hundreds of thousands of dollars of medical debt. My grandmother and her wife, whose marriage is at stake if Pence gets his way rolling back marriage equality. My friend who could be arrested is she uses the correct bathroom if he and his administration allow for these bathroom bills to pass.My younger brother who could end up doing god knows what if they cut mental health and drug treatment programs, since he struggles with both. My job, my coworkers,my students if they gut public education the way they say they will.My planet, my air, my water, if they roll back the environmental protections they want to. Clownbutt’s “best” for America is a disaster. That’s ideas that he has, but it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be fulfilled. That’s what I hope for. I hope, with every fiber of my being, that he fails, time and time and time again. Because if he gets his way- people I love will hurt. -- source link
