avtavr: Tacoma: in the Mountain that was God (Williams, 1911)Glacier Caves on the southeast flank of Mount Rainier (orig. “Tacoma”, fr. Native Am. Lushootseed) in Washington (state), U.S.A., hollows of Paradise Glacier - once reachable after a three-mile hike (but gone since the 1980s) - these were interconnected ice caves which contained a complex of corridors and small rooms, displaying glassy pillars of ice, giant frost crystals and flake falls. photo by David Muench -- source link
