Join us on Thursday, June 6 for our Chancellor’s Day Teacher Workshop: One Work, Many Stories, exploring interdisciplinary methods for teaching from works of art. Learn about the rich history and contemporary practice of Yorùbá egúngún festivals and investigate a single egúngún masquerade costume in-depth in our special exhibition One: Egúngún. The workshop offers a range of entry points for guiding students through their study of West African art, including cultural context, material, process, and provenance, unfolding the many stories contained within a single artwork.Registration is $45. Members receive 10% off. Not a Member? Join today! Questions? Email us at teacher.services@brooklynmuseum.org.Posted by Michael RebackPhoto: Kolin Mendez -- source link
