The Tower is commonly interpreted as meaning danger, crisis, destruction, and liberation. It is associated with sudden unforseen change. The Hanged Man is the card that suggests ultimate surrender, sacrifice, or being suspended in time.I ordered a custom tarot deck for a friend as a christmas gift, and since it was a weird number of cards, it came with some blank ones, which I kept. I got bored during my Advanced Criminal Sentencing course this evening and decided to draw Javert and JVJ on them (there may be some irony to that). I thought these were vaguely fitting? I actually really enjoyed drawing these; they’re far from perfect, because sharpie on laminated paper means no correcting mistakes, and the lamination is actually so slick that the ink doesn’t properly adhere. Still, I think it makes for an interesting texture. I may do some other major arcana if I get bored sometime. Edit: I woke up this morning and drew two more cards.Judgement: This card is referred to as a time of resurrection and awakening, a time when a period of our life comes to an absolute end making way for dynamic new beginnings. Reversed: Stagnation, Self-doubt, Poor logic, Poor or hasty judgementThe Star: The Star brings hope, renewed power, and strength to carry on with life. It shows how abundantly blessed you are. It may not be directly evident at the moment, for this card follows the trauma of the Tower card. Reversed: Despair, Missed opportunities, Disappointments, IllnessI thought that the confrontation made for an interesting Judgment, and a post-Seine Star seemed vaguely appropriate. -- source link
