sillyjellieart:Together We Heal.A piece about Malaysia losing its national icon, and the need for all of us to save the Malayan Tiger. There are only 250 to 340 tigers left in the wild, and they are in a losing battle against poachers and habitat loss. Most of us have Facebook friends beyond that number. Unbeknownst to most of us, the Sumatran Rhinos have already gone extinct due to poaching RIGHT UNDER OUR NOSES, IN MALAYSIA’S NATIONAL PARK! The tiger is the most endangered of the big cats, and 4 out of 9 subspecies has already gone extinct. Malayan tigers are the most likely 5th candidate to say goodbye.“Do we want to be known as the generation who lost the Malayan tiger and everything it represents?” ——————This piece was done for a competition relating to love, unity and respect, to vote for my piece, the link is in my stories.
