These photos regularly make me anxious. Before I go into the issue of this photoset, I need to say that I respect the work that Tippi’s current sanctuary does, they are seeking the same legislation that BCR is and from what I understand she no longer has any unprotected contact with her cats. Tippi is a case of someone that turned their methods around completely to benefit the animals. Everything I say hereafter is to these photos alone and the mindset represented in them(Which I know current Tippi would condemn), as well as how I know people are going to react to them. These pictures are terrifying. That is an adult male lion, chewing on children and other members of the family. What if something spooked him? What if he wanted to bite a little harder? They are all laughing in these pictures, making extreme light of how dangerous a lion actually is. It’s a gross misrepresentation of the species, and severe irresponsibility and disrespect. No one should look at these pictures with anything but concern, because they are deeply concerning. -- source link
