kenochoric: Bi & Pan solidarity flag! ────────────────────A flag for bisexuals and pansexuals who support each other, as well as other mspec orientations like omnisexual and polysexual! People often try to divide our community or pit us against each other, despite the fact that we both have extensive history, and a shared mspec community. In times of discourse and fighting over who gets to belong, it is important to remember that we are stronger together, and that supporting your fellow bi and pan siblings within the community can help us move forward with inclusion and tolerance. Bisexuals and pansexuals are allies, friends, and family, not an enemy meant to drive us apart. We belong, and we’re all important members of the LGBTQ+ community. The meaning of the flag is meant to represent both the bisexual and pansexual flag colors, with both the top and bottom half having colors from both. The red/pink represents pansexual history (@posi-pan has a great tag/page for a lot of pan history!), purple is for bisexual inclusion and fighting biphobia, yellow is for acceptance of all mspec identities as well as solidarity, blue is for bisexual history, and teal/green is for pansexual inclusion and fighting panphobia. The link chain symbol represents our shared place in the mspec community, while the shield represents our ability to protect, support, and help each other. Because of the shield symbolism, this flag can also be called shield solidarity, with supporters being called shield solidaires. “pansexual history” you mean bisexual history????? dont fucken act like a label created to separate bisexuals from negative stereotypes forced onto us is comparable and has a history similar to bisexualitywhy anyone would want solidarity with a label that only serves to further myther that bisexuals are sex obsessed and inherently dirty/impure is beyond me. there is nothing wrong with being bisexual and giving legitimacy to labels that contradict that fact is biphobia plain and simple. no solidarity with labels that promote biphobia -- source link
