azamimatsuri:Here is my second artwork based on the beautiful anime Mushishi [蟲師] by Urushibara Yuki. I actually had a lot of trouble with this one mostly because of the composition (the lack of waterfall reference & weird placement of the trees == ) and the size. (it was originally a tall, vertical painting but then the whole painting looked weird so I trimmed it… == ) I probably repainted this about 25 times because of the stupid trees and waterfall plus I wanted to change my painting style… but failed == (but I think I’m glad I didn’t change them…)I hope you’ve enjoyed this painting as well as feeling the Melancholic Euphoria surrounding you as summer begins to unfold.Mushishi belongs to: © Urushibara YukiThis would’ve been a great Mushishi book illustration! :)   -- source link
