its-a-different-world:floozyfumes:Not enough people think with this mindset. I’ve never seen anyone describe it like this and it makes perfectly good sense to me because it’s the truth. I just couldn’t find the words to say this. They use the most simplistic reason to deem a white people mentally ill when they haven’t faced half the challenges a black person endures on the daily basis. A lot of us are traumatized and a lot just have found a different more seclusive way to cope with that shock.A lot of us have had to get by on a “be black and stfu” mantra. Like “You’re still alive, you made it past 25, you’re surviving”, not realizing that by that point a lot of us are rattled, dead on the inside.
