At fishmongers in the US it is not common to state the species name in addition to the popular name or say much more than either “wild” or “farmed.” In this case the scientific name is worthwhile as I would not have been able to determine that “Argyrosomus regius (also known as meagre, croaker, jewfish, shade-fish, corvina, salmon-bass or stone bass) is a fish of the family Sciaenidae. It has a similar form to a European seabass, with a pearly-silver coloration and a yellow-coloured mouth.” -- source link
