fighting-colitiscrohns: memyselfandibd: If you’ve got Crohn’s disease and you live in the UK like me, your probably a bit pissed off. But for all my followers in different parts of the world, here’s what’s going on in the news. No definitive research has ever suggested that crohns diseased is caused by eating a lot of junk food. BBC news was suppose to raise awareness for thousands of people on the effects of fatigue and IBD but instead chose to base the majority of the segment on junk food. Junk food is bad for everyone bar none. It is the most obvious fact in our modern day world. Junk food can cause some types of diabetes, acne and other illnesses but has no impact on whether or not you develop Crohn’s disease. Junk food can worsen your already apparent crohns but can not make you more susceptible to getting it. If you have it, you have it! You can be treated, some cases are worse then others and there is are obvious diet recommendations but all in all if you have crohns it will most likely come out between the ages of 18-25 or 45-60. Having a talk on the impacts of fatigue and IBD would have been a great media outlet to provide employers, friends and family more information on this very important symptom on the disease. It makes me angry, upset and quite frankly pissed off that the interview had such a strong lean towards the impacts of junk food. Junk food impacts us all, don’t eat it or you will probably get Crohn’s disease was the basis of the interview. What a load of crap. I could go on for ever on this subject, about how if they were going to base the interview on the causes on crohns disease they should have talked about the dairy industry, but heaven forbid they say anything about a multi billion pound establishment. Rant over, comment as you will, what are your thoughts? Wow, it’s so not related to junk food, I ate like a bunny rabbit before and I still got sick -- source link
