blogshirtboy: So uh, comic time again! It’s no secret that I have a huuuuge thing for dudes with female super alter-egos, mostly it came from the Saturday morning cartoons I grew up with but one very formative moment was when I read the above story arc from a series called H.E.R.O. The series was actually a reboot that started in 2003 and was based on a much older comic called Dial H for Hero and revolved around the “H-Dial”, a magical device that would transform you into a random super hero with every use. Now because of the random nature of the device there was always some genderswapping here and there but it was never really dwelt upon, but this arc in particular is like something right out of fictionmania, with an ending to match. And yeah, that’s it, pretty formative for lil’ baby bsb (note the shot of the hands!), it hits all the notes of a classic genderswap story and the design for the female hero is just… hoo golly.
