alaskan-orca: NGOS recently posted these new photos of AE pod and gave a nice update on the whales. AE23 Patch has had her first calf! Her brother, AE18 Lethcoe, now has a completely collapsed dorsal fin. He and AE15 Hanning are two of the three Alaskan resident orcas that have collapsed fins. Unfortunately, AE14 Chenega Pete and a few juveniles were absent. Let’s hope they were off frolicking somewhere else. -- source link
