cthonical:a million things in this scene fucking destroy me, but most of all, it’s the way his voice goes all SURE again when he says “this is how I go". he’s standing on solid ground again for a split second because he knows, and he knows he’s right, and he knows what he has to do#SOBBING BLOOD is indeed the appropriate reactionand i just rewatched this scene like half an hour ago and it is SO. AMAZE. the way hannibal asks him, right before this little monologue, “what would my motive be?” he’s fucking guiding him to the answer, it’s the goddamn socratic method. he’s asking will to see just as hobbs asked him to see when he died, just as well asked jack to see when he was lying on the floor staring at the wendigo, just as hannibal let abigail see who he truly was. all in that one room. that whole room is defined not only by death and by violent father figures (hobbs, hannibal, jack) and by abigail’s various deaths-or-not-deaths but also by vision, clarity. as you said, he feels certain. -- source link
