At 42, Mack was in the best shape of his life. But with the kids activities and the job it was hard to find time to train for the Tri-athalon. So he took a Friday off work, left the kids at home with his wife, loaded up his bike and gear and headed to the lake cabin for a long weekend of isolated workouts. By noon, he was unpacked, had already put in a few miles in the lake and headed out on his bike for 25 miles on the trails. After hours of a hard ride, he looked forward to getting cleaned up and enjoying some alone time that night. He walked into the shower and turned on the water about the same time they let themselves in.Wrapped in a towel, Mack walked into the bedroom thinking he’d collapse into the bed and relax. A strong arm around his neck pulled him back while two men grabbed his legs, lifting him off the ground. He yelled and trashed, but as the chloroformed rag was shoved over his nose and mouth, his considerable strength failed him. They dumped his 6 foot muscular body unconscious onto the bed.They blindfolded and gagged him. Then tied him securely to the bed. And so Mack had another hard ride that night at the hands of the intruders. -- source link
