jkthinkythoughts:kawuli:majorgenerally:lookninjas:chewedcorn:Map of the US by a truck driver who has seen most of it…He’s right about the roads in Michigan. I’m not gonna argue with him on that. They’re just not driving in New Jersey enough to be able to handle itso, funny story, before I was born my parents moved from Kansas to New Jersey. In rural Kansas, the roads are a perfect grid. if you miss your turn, you just take the next one. worst case scenario, the next one’s not paved and you drive on a shitty corduroy dirt road for a mile or two.this strategy emphatically does NOT work in New JerseyBack in the before times before GPS, you handled getting lost in NJ by *staying on the road you are on* You will either hit an interstate that you can use to go home, the ocean, NY, NYC, PA, or the Delaware River. And yes, I have pulled an emergency u turn in Fort Lee with the Holland Tunnel coming up unexpectedly because Fort Lee is next level hell!roads.NOTE: yes, this meant that sometimes you had to drive for an extra hour but the alternative was driving in circles for twice as long before winding up in the ass end of Patterson. Which I have also done. -- source link
