cocoshomebrew:This expansion for the barbarian’s Path of the Totem Warrior subclass is my first time working with a subclass that isn’t my own, but I think the new animals I’ve provided here fit the subclass nicely. I’d like to do more expansions like this for pre-existing classes and subclasses in future, so hopefully you guys like it. This expansion adds options for the Mammoth, the Orca, the Penguin and the Walrus, as well as a guide on how to make spirits out of other various animals found in colder climates. I’ve always been inspired by the stories of the indigenous peoples who inhabit Arctic regions. Animals play a key part in many of these stories, and they are sometimes said to have supernatural powers or to even act as guides. While I was reading over the latest D&D adventure, Rime of the Frostmaiden, the setting of the Icewind Dale and the various creatures that inhabit it reminded me of these stories and led me to look at Totem Warrior. Since this subclass was most likely already inspired by the beliefs of other indigenous peoples, it felt natural to expand it with options for animals that featured prominently in these stories.If you like this content and want to help support me making more, please consider pledging to my patreon.
