drewwilsonphoto: i think you need a map for yourself. you let the lost swallow you whole. you let the past bite your heels and the future keep that head down. late to bed, late to rise. you’re letting the best of life slip past your side. sadness stops you like your fingers running through your knotted hair. you work so hard for the weekend and collapse every time it graces you. two drinks down and you’re feeling lighter. four drinks down and you’re lower than when you started. you feel guilty about being annoyed by all those people worrying. you feel guilty when you know there is worse. you feel worse when you realize there is worse. all these thoughts tangle in your head but its a mess anyways so you don’t bother straightening it out. you do your best to look your best. but you don’t bother with the feels. because you’ve learnt looking the part is so much easier. its funny how this all hits so hard but something so simple as the rain against your window can tap you into the softest sleep. you feel each drop hit and fall. hit and fall. and eventually this all just becomes a passing feeling. sleep always comes. even if you’ve been waiting so long. -- source link
