Seven of Pentacles. Art by Liz Landis, from The Prism Tarot. Reap what you sowDue to hard work and diligence your wealth and contribution to the world continues to grow, but it is a continuous, sometimes tiring investment of your time and energy. The VII of Pentacles is symbolic of material contemplation. In the Hermetic Tarot it is known as the ‘Lord of Success Unfulfilled.’ A figure stands before their abundant crop. Their harvest has been fruitful, but when they look at all the work yet to be done they feel fatigued. They take a moment to wipe the sweat from their brow and assess the best course forward. The scythe they lean upon is a symbol of the work to be done as well as a nod to the god Saturn. This card is ruled by Saturn and oversees the third decan of Taurus. In a reading this card may reflect that you have been working diligently at one task for a long time. You may soon see all that hard work pay off. Now is the time to reap the fruits of your labor. Take a step back to celebrate your progress to this point. Now may be the time to evaluate if you have enough motivation to continue, or if you feel exhausted and unsatisfied with the direction you’re going in. Are you happy with the future you see if you continue on the same path, or are there changes you need to make? Evaluate the possibilities. Look at your long term investments and make sure they’re going to pay off in the end. It may take some extra patience, but sustainable results are often better than a quick pay out. The reversed may suggest that you are ready for a change. You may be putting too much energy into fruitless effort. It may be hard to move on considering how much time, energy, money etc you already put into a certain endeavor, but cut your losses and do what will be best in the long run. Life is too short to waste time. -- source link
