Aureus with bust of Aurelian, minted in Pannonia, Siscia, ca. 270-71 ce, Bust of Aurelia is radiate (wearing a crown with sunrays), cuirassed (wearing a brastplate), draped (wearing draped cloth). The reverse (backside of the coin) depicts Genius with a patera (a broad, shallow dish used in ancient Rome for pouring libations) and a cornucopia (a symbol of plenty)3-4. Aureus with a bust of Caracalla, Rome, ca. 203-04 ce. Reverse shows Dea Caelestic (the Heavenly Goddess, AKA Tanit) on a lion near a fountain carrying a drum and scepter5-6. Aureus with bust of Pertinax, Rome, 193 CE. Reverse shows the goddess Laetitia with a wreath and scepter.7-8. Aureus with bust of a defied Faustina the Elder, diademed. Ca. 150 CE.
