My school.MY SCHOOL.Class of ‘98. Only was there a year. But still.MY SCHOOL.Every other time, it’s a statistic. A sad body count. But at least it didn’t happen here. This time it happened here.I don’t live in Marysville anymore. Barely think of the place these days. I haven’t really kept in touch with anyone from there. It is still my school.I walked those courtyards. I sat in those classrooms. Somewhere, a part of me lives in the Tomahawk memory.I am hurt. I am angry. How many more children have to die before this country wakes up and stops this? How are we okay with this? How come we let a small number of fringe lunatics with a hard-on for the second amendment override rational thought? We have to put safety warnings on hot coffee cups because they’re dangerous, yet we can do absolutely nothing about devices that are designed to kill?I don’t want to wait for it to happen to your school, too. -- source link
