I don’t have to go on these dates to be happy, he wants to add, and just because you’re happy in a relationship that doesn’t mean I have to be in one to be happy too. But he lets those words die on his tongue. He doesn’t want to start something he doesn’t intend on finishing. “Yeah, but…” Fionn doesn’t get to finish his sentence as a customer occupies the seat a few stools away from them and calls for Niall. Niall uses that as an excuse to walk away, tending to the guy. It’s probably for the best, he thinks, that Fionn didn’t finish his sentence.
