Words can’t even begin to describe how much Murdoch Mysteries means to me. Tonight I went out to a Murdoch Mysteries pub night! The pub is owned by two lads who used to work in lighting on the set of MM. It’s a great little place called The Derby and tonight many MM fans crowded into the pub to watch tonight’s episode (The Local Option). We were joined by Thomas Craig and Arwen Humphreys (Mr. and Mrs. Brackenreid) who watched the episode with us, read trivia questions, and ate and drank with those gathered in the pub.I have had the pleasure of meeting Tom and Arwen before but how down to earth the cast of Murdoch Mysteries is always blows me away. I often tweet about MM so sometimes I’ll tweet Arwen little things and tonight when I went to talk to her she actually knew who I was when I told her my Twitter name. I think it’s amazing that she actually knew who I was just from the few tweets I had sent her. She was so sweet and kind to me and it made me so happy. After speaking with her I went back to the bar and was sat there and Tom came over to me and actually started up a conversation with me! This made me feel so special because usually it’s fans approaching actors and not the other way around. He totally could have ignored me but he went out of his way to speak to me and ask me my name and such. Tom is such a funny man and he has a heart of gold. Both Tom and Arwen took their time when talking to me and they didn’t rush through the conversation or act superior or anything. Their kindness means so much to me because they act in (in my opinion) the best Canadian show on T.V right now. They could totally let this go to their heads and act egotistical about it but they don’t! They genuinely take an interest in fans and they’re so wonderful to everyone. Other members of the cast such as Yannick (William Murdoch), Helene (Dr. Julia Ogden), Jonny (Constable Crabtree), Georgina (Dr. Emily Grace), and Sara (Lillian Moss) are equally wonderful. And yes, I still consider Georgina and Sara as cast members because tbh they were my favourites. I tweeted a lot about Emily Grace and Lillian Moss and Georgina and Sara would always acknowledge these tweets. Sometimes they would acknowledge tweets I didn’t even tag them in which I think is pretty great. The cast, writers, and the official MM Twitter account all engage with fans over social media and I think that’s really amazing because they totally don’t have to but they still do it anyway. Murdoch Mysteries has some of the kindest, sweetest, most down-to-earth people on their team. I’ve spoken to both actors and behind the scenes workers and each and every one of them expresses a genuine interest in what you’re saying to them. I wish I could give an award to everyone involved with Murdoch Mysteries. These people have created one of the best Canadian television shows yet they still act like average human beings. This post was originally just going to be a short blurb about the MM pub night but I just want to express my admiration for the cast, crew, and fans of Murdoch Mysteries because these people are some of the best people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. You are all amazing. -- source link
