Metal was what the city was made from. It ran on clogging smoke and cloying smog, and though the steam itself was fairly clean, it was poisoned by years of rust that clung to it and fed it into the air. The sludgeulous decay festered through the city as people went about their days like rats. Only the wealthy could afford real plants and animals- even the birds ran on clockwork and to his left there lie a tree made entirely out of beautifully rusting copper. Everything was decorated in colours much the same as the dying surroundings, save for the fair young man who stood on the balcony clutching the most beautiful of two fine, and perfectly real roses; and whom, might it be said, held a face fairer than even that of the Lord of the Estate. Clockwork Manipulation Illustration. (say that ten times fast ehehe) Coffee/tea stained paper, Prismacolour markers, Copic markers, fine-tip sharpie, and pastels. (Paper-texture overlay in Sai because the scanned in version was not as bright as the actual version). First art uploaded for 2014 so cheers! -- source link
