#095 OnixThe official Onix design just looks like a snake made of rocks, so the main thing we wanted to change was for it to look more like a part Ground type. We gave it a shovel-shaped head; replaced the big head spike (which would be pretty inefficient for burrowing) with three smaller, rear-facing spikes; and put underside markings meant to mimic mud.The dark and glossy coloration is meant to look like actual onyx, whereas the golden eyes help emphasize the snake side of it. -- source link
