Heritage 12/3/17It’s been almost a year since taking this picture and my life is completely different. I was depressed, anxious, in an unhealthy relationship, and unable to see the good happening in my life. However, I went to the arboretum, sat by this tree, and picked up this cool leaf. This tree, called the Gingko, is from Japan and is a symbol of hope. After the atomic bombs hit in world war 2, all life was gone, yet this tree somehow came back-surviving the devastation. I was destined to connect with this piece of history and be reminded to not lose hope in even the darkest of times. I’m a little stressed from school and some minor things, but not even close to the dark state I was in a year ago. Thankful to come across old memories and to be motivated to move forward no matter how intimidating the future may be. -- source link
