On one shady hillside yesterday, I saw these pink flowers along the road where I would expect to see evening lychnis or night-flowering catchfly. Very similar to those species, but all of them were pink, with this narrow split petal form. Maybe someone nearby had planted ragged robin and it cross-pollinated with our usual roadside species? I’m curious, but will probably never know. I may go back for seeds later in the summer. Haha, what a plant nerd I am sometimes! -- source link
