redgamer3:scriptscribbles:theconfessionsofawhovian:http://theconfessionsofawhovian.tumblr.com/You can. Because she’s still going to die there. The Doctor still grieved over her. He fought for billions of years to save her, dying and killing to do so. Nothing has changed. Just added. We just get an eternity of extra stories in the final moments. No it’s not! Before it was sad and tragic and a life cut short. But it was ok because she was brave and going to be with Danny. I could have overlooked a brief reprieve like the other Time Lords expected but what we got ruined everything! She has as long as she wants to prepare and fulfill life after life after life after life [many, many lives later] after life before she goes back. It’s not cut short it is longer than it has any right to be.The Doctor may have gotten a sad or even bittersweet ending but Clara got a happy ending. She got immortality, an immortal companion, and a TARDIS. The only thing sad about that is that she left the show. It’s as sad as Martha leaving.Moffett can make some wonderful stories, some of the best, but he needs to stick to his deaths.Yeah, I’m not particularly bothered by the delay in Clara’s death, but the argument that it doesn’t affect her death scene at all doesn’t hold up, IMO. From the Doctor’s point of view nothing changed, but from Clara’s point of view she’s had who knows how much extra time to live. She gets to choose when to die and she gets to be prepared for it. She dies with the memories of whatever she and Ashildr have been doing. How is that not different from what we saw in Face the Raven? -- source link
