An engraved and decorated single shot sporting rifle crafted by Johann Springer of Vienna, mid 19th century.Originally the rifle was a gift from Austro-Hungarian Emperor Franz Joseph I to his son Crown Prince Rudolph. Prince Rudolph would later gift the rifle to an Austrian nobleman named Franz von Nassau.
