We’re organizing a major gathering of artists, filmmakers, writers, and performers alongside leaders, activists and elected officials for The Brooklyn Conference, a series of dynamic and thought-provoking lectures, workshops, film screenings to inspire social change. Taking place Friday and Saturday, Oct 20 and 21, with a kickoff event on Thursday, October 19, we’ll explore the intersections of art and social change with speakers that include Senator Kirsten Gillibrand, journalist Charles Blow, artist Judy Chicago, media entrepreneur and Girlgaze founder Amanda de Cadenet, poet Claudia Rankine, artist Hank Willis Thomas, and more.
