Happy Father’s Day! This stained glass panel in Glencairn’s Treasury depicts the biblical story of the Flight into Egypt. The Gospel of Matthew (2:13-14) describes how Joseph was commanded in a dream to escape from Herod with Mary and Jesus to Egypt. Christians traditionally honor Joseph, the “foster-father” of Jesus, as the provider and protector of the Holy Family.
