procrete: Tour de la Bourse, Montreal, Quebec, Canada (circa 1964) Originally planned to be the first of three identical towers arranged in a triangle, the project was scaled back to two towers, however, financial constraints meant that the tower was the only one built. Designed by Pier Luigi Nervi, Luigi Moretti and Joseph Dunne, it became the tallest tower in Canada for several years. The basic proportions of the tower are related to those of an Ionic column, with the tower tapering inwards from a third of the way up, as well as having a slightly convex facade. -- source link
