ganseyblues:Please help save Beebs My cat Beebs means the entire world to me, and he has just been diagnosed with a large tumor in his abdomen. This came as a horrible shock, since the visit to the vet was only for a vaccine. I want to do everything that I can to save him, but the cost is so much more than I can afford. I have a part-time job and a university tuition of about 2,000$ per semester. My parents are doing everything they can to help me, but they can’t afford the entire costs of the medical care for my cat. The X-rays and the exam alone cost me 250$, here is the receipt Any contribution you could do to help me save my cat would be amazing, thank you so much ♥ DONATE HERE ♥Update on BeebsFirst of all, thank you all so much for your amazing contributions. They helped pay for the vet visits and the ultrasound, as well as for the medication. I couldn’t have done it without everyone’s generosity, so thank you all so much. Beebs’ ultrasound revealed that the tumor in his abdomen was likely a lymphoma, which is a form of cancer that unfortunately cannot be cured. We decided not to pursue further treatment, such as chemotherapy. The chances of success were very low and I did not have the heart to put Beebs through the stress of weekly vet visits and aggressive medication. This also means that we have not done a biopsy to identify the exact type of lymphoma, so it’s a presumptive diagnosis. After two heartbreaking vet visits, my family and I have decided to only pursue palliative care to make sure that his quality of life is at its best for what could be his last few weeks, according to the vet. It’s so hard to believe, since for now, he is still the curious, affectionate cat he’s always been, although maybe a bit sleepier. But he is therefore taking painkillers to make sure that he’s as comfortable as possible. However, I have also looked into alternative treatments, and have decided to give natural supplements a shot. I’ve done quite a lot of research on this type of cancer, and many people in my situation have had successful results with these natural, holistic supplements. They are not supposed to interact with his medication, so even though they are costly, I decided to try them out and keep my fingers crossed for any sign of improvement. Again, thank you all so much for caring about my sweet Beebs, I am so grateful. I’m trying to take it one day at a time and to cherish every moment. <3 -- source link
