Dome of Billings Building (Old Hospital), Johns Hopkins Medical Complex, Baltimore, 2015.The dome decorates a building named for the man largely responsible for the foundation of the John Hopkins medical complex. Built originally in the 1880s as a hospital, the structure is now used for administration of the immense medical center and its satellites. The dome is still used on the medical center’s logo, but it is dwarfed by a number of bigger and taller structures in the complex. -- source link
