I can’t believe I’m 20 days into this challenge - it’s given me a motivational boost to get the year started in a positive way, as well as a confidence boost, being able to look back and see what I’ve accomplished in a few short weeks Today wasn’t the #research day I had planned. My grandma has been waiting on an urgent surgery list for quite a while now. Yesterday, she got the call that a spot had come up for next week. Because the consultation for the surgery is tomorrow, though, she needed to get from the north to the south of the state ASAP. One problem: for various reasons, my grandpa can longer drive. So, knowing the drive north is currently riddled with long sections of roadworks, I headed up with my mum to share the 400km+ drive and bring my grandparents south. By the time we got home, after many hours of driving, I simply didn’t have the energy to focus on research Instead, I decided to spend the evening crafting so I could rest up and start fresh tomorrow - and I managed to finish my second cross stitch #project! So, I may not have accomplished what I had planned, but I did something very important for my family and found the time to create in another way without burning myself out before the week is up.
