thewebcomicsreview:Okay, I know basically nothing about Hush, but this is asinine.First, let’s just note the bizarre assumption that a good villain has to be super one-note. Actually, given how Willis’ “characterization” tends to be, maybe he just assumes all characters should be one thing really really hard (see: Robin),Second, let’s point out that “Fat guy in a tuxedo who runs a grey market, uses umbrella-themed weapons, and calls himself The Penguin” isn’t exactly sticking a theme either. But the complaint is super-asinine regardless. I know nothing about Hush, and haven’t heard much I liked. But he’s a plastic surgeon. That’s his shtick. Why is he a doctor? Plastic surgeon. Why is his face covered in bandages? Like someone who had plastic surgery. Why is he wearing a trenchcoat? Because doctors wear long coats and an actual doctor’s coat makes him look like a mad scientist. Why Plato? I guess because plastic surgery puns are really stupid. And, finally, while what little I know about Hush hasn’t impressed me, the writer of Amazi-girl is in no position to criticize a superhero book.(By the way, check out Terry in the background, copy-pasted four times)(And how nothing about the visuals contribute in any way to the joke) -- source link
