Sveinbjörn Beinteinsson was an Icelandic shepherd who founded the Ásatrúarfélagið, in 1972 becoming the first góði (a figure close to that of a priest). He was also a kvæðamaður, which means he was a rìmur singer. He recited part of the Havamal, the Voluspa and the Sigrdrífumál.He is a very important figure both for the Scandinavian culture as well as for the revival of Nordic Paganism. -- source link
